Blue Communication announced that they held the graduation ceremony and performance presentation for the 2019 SW Future Talent Development Program on August 21st at Incheon Gaetbeol Tower.
The SW Future Talent Development Program was organized by Incheon TP and supported by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, Incheon City, and the Korea Information Society Agency. Blue Communication participated as an education provider, offering training for instructors. After completing 80 hours of basic education, the participants underwent an additional 80 hours of specialized training in 3D printing, physical computing, and drones.
A total of 107 specialized SW instructors were trained in the Incheon region. These instructors, who completed 160 hours of education, took part in 20 hours of team projects focused on developing educational curricula and specialized contents tailored to the local context. In teams of 3 to 4 members, they planned and developed 29 sets of SW coding education curricula, totaling 240 hours, covering various Incheon-related topics.
The 107 instructors are scheduled to provide education to over 3,000 elementary, middle, and high school students in the Incheon area through SW education programs. The Incheon Education Office is conducting a survey to assess the demand from local schools, and they plan to prioritize education for students in schools with limited access to SW education, such as schools in remote or underprivileged areas and local child centers.
