The Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning hosted the '2021 April New SW Product Awards' ceremony on the 3rd of last month at the Government Complex in Sejong City, which was organized by the Korea Information Industry Association, Electronics Newspaper, and the Korea Information Technology Association.

The New SW Product Awards select outstanding software (SW) products developed by domestic medium and small-sized enterprises through three stages of evaluation: ▲ First-round document screening ▲ Second-round demo evaluation ▲ Third-round GS certification (Grade 1). The selected products are recognized for their excellence and awarded the Minister of Science, ICT, and Future Planning Award for SW products and SW core developers.

In the Multimedia & Service SW category, 'AsomeCode,' a product by Blue Communication, was selected.

'AsomeCode' is a software coding education platform using physical computing. The program is designed to code educational materials intuitively using functional blocks directly developed by Blue Communication to facilitate coding learning.

Blue Communication was established in November 2013, starting with IT/SW content planning and development. Currently, it has been contributing to the advancement of domestic SW coding education by offering the integrated software coding education platform 'AsomeIT,' based on physical computing. Their independently developed coding education robot 'AsomeBot' was selected as an educational tool for the 2021 Robot Creative Education Project and is planned to be used for education in 45 regional child centers nationwide.
