Blue Communication announced on the 31st that it conducted two educational programs using its SW and AI educational tools, AsomeBot and AsomeKit, through the industry-academy link extracurricular course at Sookmyung Women's University for four weeks from the 7th to the 23rd.
The two industry-academy link extracurricular courses are SW and AI convergence courses that allow students of various majors and grades as well as SW majors to freely participate.
The 'Internet of Things and AI Device Development Project' is a project course where students learn various physical computing, Internet of Things, Python coding basics, artificial intelligence and smartphone app development using the AsomeKit, which is IoT kit, and develops smart pots with their own ideas.
The "Character Robot Design and Practice" is a practice course where students can design the appearance of the AsomeBot, a two-legged walking robot for coding education, output and assemble it with a 3D printer to learn the basics of robotics, the principles of robot operation, and how to control robots using coding.
Blue Communication CEO Jung Hee-yong, who planned and lectured this course, said, “In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which requires convergence-type talent, not only software majors, but also various IT knowledge such as coding, the Internet of Things, and AI are needed.” and "Through this training, it was once again verified that AsomeBot and AsomeKit are good programs that allow non-majors to easily understand the structure and principles of software, the Internet of Things, and robotics, and learn Python coding.”
Park Dong-cheol, CEO of Cocoz, a designer of AsomeBot and who lectured on the 'Character Robot Design and Practice' course, said, "It was a beneficial time to design and create their own character robots with students from various majors." and "it was a short time but I hope it will serve as an opportunity for students to create their own robot, operate it through coding, and take a step closer to becoming a convergent talent.”
