Blue Communication(Represented by Jeong Hee-yong) has introduced AsomeCode,' a physical computing-based software coding education integrated platform that allows anyone to easily and enjoyably engage in coding.
AsomeCode is a product that combines software coding education materials, video lectures, and coding practice. It is characterized by providing a simple and experiential approach to coding, making it accessible for beginners and children who may have vague ideas about how to start coding. Currently, it is available for Windows and Android operating systems (OS). It is designed in a way that even educators and instructors who need to teach coding can easily guide students through the educational process.
AsomeCode is an educational SW for the physical computing-based integrated SW education platform called 'AsomeIT.' The AsomeIT integrated education platform consists of educational SW called AsomeCode, a self-developed practice board called AsomeBoard,' a bipedal walking robot educational tool called 'AsomeBot,' a remote-controlled car called 'AsomeCar,' and an Internet of Things experiential kit called 'AsomeKit.'
By connecting the three educational tools equipped with AsomeBoard to a PC and running AsomeCode, users can experience coding while programming the educational tools themselves. Users can enjoy a maker experience by assembling the educational tools directly and learn coding by inputting source code into the assembled tools.
The AsomeCode program includes coding education materials and instructional videos. By reading and following the content, users can naturally assemble the educational tools and understand the working principles of each component. They can also acquire detailed explanations of the source code and commands that operate the educational tools, as well as the scientific principles related to their operation.
The program also has a built-in code editor that allows users to see the Python code corresponding to the movements previously executed with click-and-play. Users can modify the code directly and observe the movements of the educational tools in various forms.
A company representative stated, "We have obtained two patents with our own technology based on physical computing, and we received an award at last year's Seoul International Invention Fair for our patent on 'Physical Software Coding Education Execution Device.'"
