Blue Communication, which provides educational materials and programs for software (SW) coding education, signed an exclusive agreement with SemiCAT for product and service distribution in the United States and Singapore regions at K-Global held in Silicon Valley on the 7th.
Blue Communication, which owns the software coding education brand AsomeIT, is a product that offers a one-stop service for SW coding learning, including educational materials, textbooks, and dedicated education programs, resolving issues with existing SW coding education programs and materials, making coding accessible to everyone.
Through the CJ Product 101 program, Blue Communication entered the US market and has been making efforts in overseas exports to countries like the United States, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
SemiCAT, located in San Jose, USA, is responsible for localizing and further developing the curriculum to enable the utilization of AsomeIT's SW coding education program and content in the United States. It also takes on the role of developing sales and distribution channels within the US education institutions.
The distinctive feature of Blue Communication's SW coding education program is its provision of physical computing-based software coding education.
Physical computing involves coding to control objects connected to computers. It has gained significant interest as it allows a play type of hands-on, sensory-based coding education through interacting with physical objects.
AsomeIT provides an educational textbook and development tool called AsomeCode, allowing for coding education to start without complex setups. It incorporates block coding functionality to help children who find coding difficult understand algorithms easily. Moreover, it visually facilitates understanding of the principles and concepts behind software operation, which is a big pro for children to learn to code.
Additionally, the Click&Play feature enables the execution and modification of pre-written source code with simple button clicks as much as children would like to. An integrated code editor within the online textbook provides a real coding experience by naturally transforming code during the learning process.
AsomeBot, developed as an educational tool by AsomeIT, is a bipedal walking robot capable of various actions like walking, dancing, wrestling, and maze escaping, using ultrasonic sensors and servo motors. When connected to AsomeCode, students can implement a variety of movements through coding, allowing them to create unique motions.
A smartphone application (compatible with Android OS) is provided to remotely control AsomeBot. It also enables the creation and execution of various actions through simple block coding. (Posted on November 19, 2018)
