Starting next year, softrware coding education will be introduced in elementary school curriculum following its implementation in middle schools this year; a total of over 17 hours of education will be conducted targeting 5th and 6th graders.

Coding is known to help develop students' logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity, even without mentioning the grandeur of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era. However, there are concerns about the effectiveness of introducing coding education into public schools, as it has only been recently implemented.
In this context, the SW coding education brand "AsomeIT" has released SW coding learning kits that anyone can easily and enjoyably learn SW coding.
The newly released kits include ‘AsomeKit,’ which allows students to understand the concept and principles of the Internet of Things by learning the operations of various sensors and components and connecting to the internet via WiFi, ‘AsomeBot,’ which students can assemble themselves, control with a smartphone, and develop their own driving methods while naturally learning coding, and ‘AsomeCar,’ a car model.
According to company officials, "AsomeIT's SW coding education program has been reflected in the education programs of the Korea Institute for ICT Promotion and has been confirmed for adoption by various educational institutions such as Jungam Middle School, Yeomgyeong Middle School, Gyeongil Middle School, Shinlim High School, Eunpyeong Culture Arts Information High School, Lee Jin-Ah Library, and Jungwon Children's Library in Seongnam City." They stated, "The newly released kits adopt physical computing, allowing students to see physical objects respond by connecting actual devices to computers, making coding enjoyable. Through our self-developed education program, AsomeCode, students can learn autonomously using the 'Click to Play' method, where they can execute programs with just a click without directly entering commands into the computer."
AsomeCode is easy to set up, automatically upgrades to the latest version when executed, and can be easily utilized in various computer specifications and environments.
AsomeIT's education program has been validated through the "2017 Internet of Things Experience Education Program" held in 24 elementary and middle schools nationwide and the "2 Days and 1 Night Software Coding Camp" organized by the Korea Institute for ICT Promotion. For more detailed information about the company's SW coding education program, it can be found on their website and Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the company 'Blue Communication,' which operates the AsomeIT brand, has been selected as a "Hi Seoul Brand Company," a joint branding initiative for outstanding companies granted by the Small and Medium Business Administration's Seoul Business Agency, which plays a vital role in job creation in Seoul.
